Starting this week!

Bridges Preparatory School is joining Ameris Bank 8th Annual “Helping Fight Hunger” 2017 Drive. This year, the money and food raised will go to two very deserving organizations; Our Lady’s Pantry (affiliated with St. Peters Catholic Church) and Gray’s Hill Baptist Church.

To support the effort of Ameris Bank, Bridges Prep will hold a two week “We Love our Community a Ton Food Drive.” Our goal is to donate a ton of non-perishable food items that will help fight hunger in our beloved community. In addition, our very own “Helping Hands” which is part of Bridges’ PTO, is joining the food drive effort. The Helping Hands group will be preparing Holiday Food Baskets that will be donated to Bridges families. The baskets will contain items from the food drive and turkeys purchased by the PTO. The goal is to provide 22 families with food baskets that will help ensure their holidays are special.

Our “We Love our Community a Ton Food Drive” will begin Oct 16 and end on Oct 27. To provide an incentive for students, Ameris Bank will provide an ice cream social to the class at each grade level k-7 that brings in the most food and an ice cream social to the class at the upper school that brings in the most food. The winners will be determined by the total weight of the food/class. Donated food must be non-perishable.
