Facilities information update!
We'll be sharing more details soon, but in a nutshell:
-- For the upcoming school year, middle and high school grades will attend at our new Port Royal campus, probably in "learning cottages" until the permanent structure is complete
-- K-2 grades will continue at Celadon
-- Grades 3-7 will be at the Main Building (Boys & Girls Club)
-- Bridges Prep is approved for an almost $20 million federal loan for our new campus, which will be built in phases. Phase 1 will be middle and high school. Additional funding is needed for the remainder of the project
-- A groundbreaking is expected this winter, possibly in February.
Stay tuned!

Election update! Due to increasing responsibilities with the Boys & Girls Club, Chris Protz is withdrawing from the run-off election. That means David Gault will join Tom Angelo, James Corbin, Peggy Feuerbacher and Kelly McCombs on the board! Congratulations to all -- they will be sworn in Dec. 14.
Many thanks to Mr. Protz for his years of leadership and business expertise on the Board, and we will continue to seek his guidance.

Bridges PTO is excited to announce our Block Party Classroom Sponsorship Drive! This fundraiser will take place in lieu of asking parents/students to sell chocolate, wrapping paper, tumblers, etc. That's right....we aren't going to ask you to sell anything this year.

All donations go toward your homeroom's goal of $250. Each homeroom that meets their goal becomes a Block Party sponsor. That's right, your homeroom has the opportunity to be an event sponsor at our 5th Annual Bridges Block Party-Shrimp and Grits Cook-off in Port Royal on Paris Avenue next April!

Those classes that meet their goal get their name/homeroom on a banner at the Block Party, on the Wall of Thanks, all advertising/social media and more! The most important thing to remember, ALL money will help support our largest fundraising event, and in turn, our children and teachers!!

Look for your student's sponsor envelope and more information that came home Friday afternoon or will be coming home Monday!
