Delores “Dee“ Matthews, Chair

Delores “Dee“ Matthews, Chair

Dee is a retired educator, having taught, coached, and finished her career in administration. She served as an assistant principal, principal and director. She believes in supporting education at all levels so that students of today, who will be the leaders of tomorrow, receive the knowledge and preparation to be successful. She has helped guide the school’s governance including hiring the new Head of School, securing a $10 million loan for new construction/renovations, and securing land for the new school. Marty Miley, Vice-Chair

Marty Miley, Vice-Chair

Marty is a project manager for Beaufort Construction Inc. He has been closely involved in Bridges Prep’s work toward a new school facility, as an original founder of Bridges, has been connected to every major decision at the school, including buying land for the new facility and hiring Dr. Ithomitis. James Corbin, Secretary

James Corbin, Secretary

James Corbin works with the information technology department at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. He lives on Lady’s Island, is married and has three children at Bridges Prep. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University and an Associate’s degree in industrial technology from the Technical College of the Lowcountry. Mr. Corbin chaired the Bridges Prep Technology Committee in Spring 2015. jcorbin@bridgesprep.org

Gregory Brinker

Gregory Brinker

Gregory holds a management degree from Ashford University and recently retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after 20 years. He believes his military background, including overseas deployments, helps him bring a unique perspective to governing Bridges Prep – he volunteered in schools in South Carolina, Virginia, Missouri and Japan. Peggy Feuerbacher

Peggy Feuerbacher

Peggy Feuerbacher is a retired school teacher with a Master’s degree in education and is National Board Certified. She is married and has a grandson and granddaughter who attend Bridges Prep. She spent 19 years as a classroom teacher and was named Teacher of the Year at Norfolk Preparatory High School in Norfolk, VA. Brooke Pacheco

Brooke Pacheco

Brooke has been employed in the local insurance industry since 2003. Her involvement at Bridges Prep includes serving as Treasurer for the PTO and helping organize the Shrimp & Grits Block Party. She served as a volunteer on the original Bridges Prep organizing committee. She is also a member and volunteer with the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce. Chris Protz

Chris Protz

Chris Protz is the Chief Professional Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry where he has primary oversight responsibility for several after school clubs located in various locations in Beaufort County; he has more than 40 years with the Boys & Girls Club organization. Protz earned a Bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation administration from the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse. He is a graduate of the Boys & Girls Clubs Management Program, the Advanced Leadership Program and is a member of the Academy of Boys & Girls Club Professionals-Distinguished Level. cprotz@bridgesprep.org

Calvin White

Calvin White

Calvin White is a Beaufort native and a retired, veteran educator with over 46 years experience in education. He wife is also a retired educator and they have two sons and a granddaughter. He received his Bachelor of Science from Savannah State College, his Master's degree in chemistry at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and his E.D. in Education and Administration Supervision at USC. cwhite@bridgesprep.org
