Classroom Services:

Teachers are expected to infuse the classroom with GT activities, curriculum, and differentiation. This is achieved by scaffolding and compacting. There will be a least one GT endorsed teacher at each grade level to coordinate the efforts for ELA and Math. Currently all ELA and Math teachers in grades 3-6 are GT endorsed or working on their endorsement. In the middle grades, an Honors Program and/or Carnegie Unit classes has been established in Math and ELA. Beginning in the 10th grade, students will be able to take dual credit and collegiate level courses through a partnership with Technical College of the Lowcountry, SC Governors School for Science and Math, and USCB. Online courses for advanced or special interest courses will be available through TCL and South Carolina Virtual School. Students have the possibility to earn Associate degrees by the end of their high school career.
