Good evening Bridges Preparatory School Families,
This evening our board and over 100 participants engaged in a conversation regarding the health and safety of our school.
Last week our staff and student case counts grew at a rate that required an emergency meeting this evening to evaluate the safety of our learning environment.
This evening our board voted to move to virtual learning effective tomorrow.
Tomorrow will be a professional development day for teachers to prepare for online learning from Wednesday, January 19th-Friday, January 28th. Our board will meet on Saturday, January 22nd, to re-evaluate our faculty case counts. At this meeting, our board will decide whether it is safe to return from virtual at an earlier date (January 24th).
We understand that this decision is not the most convenient for all of our school community. It is our hope that this transition will allow our faculty and students the time to get healthy, as we re-open safely.
We will send out a schedule for device pick-up for our younger grades, as well as communicate our exam schedule.
This is a time to take a pause, get healthy, and focus on committing to our virtual learning platform. Our expectations for virtual learning will be sent out tomorrow.
