High School (9-12)
In High School, we offer a rigorous college and career preparatory program which includes Advanced Placement (AP) and dual-enrollment options. Our primary goal in High School is to help our students build a foundation for success and prepare them to pursue fulfilling lives in our dynamic world.
The High School experience extends far beyond the classroom walls. Outside the class, learning is made relevant through self-directed learning, experiential learning, and service learning, as well as extracurriculars in the arts, athletics, and student organizations.

This Course Catalog provides information about the courses typically offered at BPS, along with information about the minimum BPS graduation requirements. As students begin choosing courses for next year and beyond, keep in mind that students will perform best when a program is selected that includes courses that are personally interesting and at an appropriate level of challenge.
Bridges Preparatory School (BPS) recently announced a partnership with the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics (GSSM).
Through this partnership, BPS high school students are able to enroll in the GSSM Accelerate program. This program is an intensive, three-year program for high school students interested in careers in engineering, or a related field.
The Accelerate classes are offered virtually and are supplemented by in-person summer learning experiences, labs, and research opportunities. Students are expected to complete the program requirements in addition to their regular coursework.
Through this program, students have the opportunity to graduate high school with as many as 39 semester hours of college credit. In addition to the dual enrollment course offerings, students have the opportunity to take honors electives in specific engineering specializations, such as biomedical, aerospace, and environmental engineering.
The Bridges Preparatory School Student/Parent Handbook is available to all students and their families, and it is their responsibility to be familiar with its contents. The primary purpose of the handbook is to provide information related to all aspects of student life, as well as policies and regulations applicable to BPS students and their families.
2022-23 Student/Parent Handbook
BPS reserves the right to alter the policies and regulations stated in the Student/Parent Handbook, and every effort will be made to keep students and parents advised of changes.
