BPS Athletics
Bridges Preparatory School believes that a dynamic athletic program is a key component to developing healthy, well-rounded, and socially well-adjusted citizens. We truly hope that the students will take advantage of the athletic opportunities offered to them in order to make their school career a richer experience.
Our athletic program is open to students from Grade 7 through Grade 12. At BPS, students may participate in the following sports:
Varsity: Cross Country, Volleyball, Wrestling, Basketball, Cheer, Baseball, Softball, Golf, Soccer
Junior Varsity: Volleyball, Wrestling, Basketball, Cheer, Baseball, Softball, Golf, Soccer
Middle School: Cross Country, Volleyball, Wrestling, Basketball, Cheer, Baseball, Softball, Golf, Soccer
To participate in athletics for Bridges Preparatory School, athletes and their parent/guardian must create an account on Big Teams and submit all required documentation through their online account. Athletes may not participate in practices, conditioning, weightlifting, or tryouts until all documentation is received and approved. Paperwork is no longer accepted. Please refer to the Big Teams guide for creating an account.
All athletes will need to upload a copy of their completed physical exam form, electronically sign the pre-participation physical evaluation, parent permission and concussion form, and upload a birth certificate.
All physicals, parent permissions, and concussion forms must be dated April 1, 2024 or later to be valid for the 2024-25 school year.

Eugene Pfaff is our NATA certified and South Carolina licensed Athletic Trainer from BOSS Orthopedics. Gene hails from West Long Branch, New Jersey where he started his career as a student Athletic Trainer in high school. After graduating from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, he was employed by the head of his college program for 4 years. Upon moving to the Atlanta area, Gene worked both in the clinical setting and with a local high school for 20+ years. He also has experience working in the industrial setting and the college setting with University of Georgia Ice Hockey. His hobbies include music and fishing.
