About Bridges Prep
The Bridges Preparatory School (BPS) mission is to provide students equal access to a high quality K-12 whole child education that maximizes academic excellence and strength of character in a student-centered learning environment created by a faculty of lifelong learners.
Our vision is to assist each child in developing his or her unique gift intellectually, physically, socially, and ethically through whole-child instruction in order to prepare students for college or career and ensure their ability to be productive citizens, serving community and readily competing in the ever-changing global society.
Bridges Preparatory School is a free, public state charter school, authorized by the South Carolina Public Charter School District. Bridges opened its doors in downtown Beaufort in August of 2013. The school currently serves more than 700 students in grades K-11, and will add a grade level every year, becoming a K-12 institution in 2019-2020. Bridges Prep is a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) school that employs the Paideia methodology. Learn more about SC charter school law here.
